This recipe makes crispy, flavorful Brussels sprouts with a delicious balance of sweet and tangy flavors.
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ lbs fresh Brussels sprouts (See Note 1)
- 3 tbsp olive oil, separated
- ¾ tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp ground black pepper
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 2 tsp honey
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (218°C).
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or a Silpat silicone baking mat.
- Trim off the outer dry leaves, cut off the bottom, and slice the Brussels sprouts lengthwise.
- In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with 2 tbsp of olive oil, kosher salt, and freshly cracked black pepper, ensuring even coating.
- Transfer to the baking sheet and roast for about 20 minutes, or until tender and caramelized.
- Place the roasted Brussels sprouts back into the bowl. Add the remaining 1 tbsp olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and honey, tossing until evenly coated.
- Taste and adjust seasoning with additional kosher salt if needed.
